The United Nations declared the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, and the Decade of Action to achieve the SDGs began in 2020. The “Global Goals Jam*” is a global initiative to contribute people’s creative ideas and power to the SDGs.
\nThe “Global Goals Jam 2021 Online Pre-Talk Event” will introduce the activities of the “Global Goals Jam,” a two-day workshop held around the world to think about sustainability from a global perspective and to generate ideas for solving local issues. *What is the Global Goals Jam?
\nThe Global Goals Jam is a two-day workshop for international citizens to think about sustainability from a global perspective and to generate ideas for solving local issues in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Global Goals Jam started in 2016, and so far more than 200 jams have been held, with more than 7,000 participants and more than 1,000 ideas generated.
\nIt is a global-scale initiative where designers, programmers, engineers, researchers, citizens, and many others bring their creative ideas and strengths to contribute to the SDGs. The results of the Global Goals Jam will be made public via the Internet under a Creative Commons license and will become shared knowledge for the world.
