{"id":1759,"date":"2018-05-28T15:00:20","date_gmt":"2018-05-28T06:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mirai.design.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/?p=1759"},"modified":"2022-10-31T10:28:10","modified_gmt":"2022-10-31T01:28:10","slug":"kyushu-university-kao-sdgs-creative-collaboration-workshop","status":"publish","type":"reports","link":"https:\/\/www.mirai.design.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/en\/reports\/kyushu-university-kao-sdgs-creative-collaboration-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cKyushu University &#038; Kao SDGs Creative Collaboration\u201d Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the first in its \u201cSDGs Design Social Partnership Program,\u201d the SDGs Design Unit partnered with Kao Corporation in holding the \u201cKyushu University &amp; Kao SDGs Creative Collaboration\u201d to produce works which will solve societal problems.<\/p>\n<p>In this never-before-seen social partnership initiative, businesses, universities, regional creatives, and students majoring in design\u2014groups which had not collaborated before\u2014take on the challenge of using design and creativity to produce works which will solve societal problems and thus meet the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n<p>This time, 31 people participated in 3 days of workshops held at various locations centered around Kyushu University&#8217;s Ohashi Campus. Participants included Kyushu University faculty and students, along with representatives from Kao Corporation, KOO-KI Co. Ltd., anno lab, and MontBlanc Pictures Co.,Ltd. The theme of the workshops was &#8220;Cleanliness.&#8221;<br \/>\nParticipants split into three teams, &#8220;Video,&#8221; &#8220;Goods &amp; Services,&#8221; and &#8220;Picture books &amp; Online content,&#8221; to brainstorm ideas and create prototypes. In all, eight works were proposed to achieve the SDGs.<br \/>\nAt the &#8220;Creative Salon&#8221; held on the last day, we were joined by Hakuhodo Inc. and Nishinippon Shimbun Company. Participants exchanged opinions on what to do for future activities.<br \/>\nNow, we plan on producing items based on participants&#8217; ideas, and releasing them to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Dates: May 23rd (Wed.) through the 25th (Fri.), 2018<\/p>\n<p>Locations: Kyushu University Ohashi Campus, Lunette, New Central Library Active Learning Space<\/p>\n<p>Participating Organizations: Kyushu University, Kao Corporation, KOO-KI Co.
