The SDGs Design International Awards, organized primarily by the Faculty of Design, Kyushu University, aims to discover creative ideas from young people and utilize them for building a sustainable society.
Since its establishment in 2019, the award has been held annually, and this year marks its 7th edition.

■ Theme for 2025
Living Together in an Era of Conflict: “Societal Design Transcending Boundaries”
It would provide a platform to address conflicts plaguing the world, warm attention to the marginalized voices, and new kinds of connectivity and recovering humanity in a digital age.
Why not share your passion and creativity with the world? We look forward to receiving proposals that resonate deeply and broadly with people everywhere.

■Sub-themes
1. Design for Peace
– A sustainable peace-building model that transcends nuclear threats, territorial disputes, resource conflicts, racial tensions, etc.
– Building youth-led international peace networks based on the SDGs
2. Design with voices on the margins – Empathy and attention to those who are hard to reach in society, such as people with disabilities, the elderly, multicultural families, etc. 3.
– Sympathy and attention to those whose voices are difficult to reach in society, such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and multicultural families
3. Living between the virtual and the real
– Overcoming isolation and the potential for new connections in digital environments such as SNS, metaverse, and generative AI

■ Entry Guidelines
Application Period: October 1 (Tue) – October 30 (Thu), 2025
Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in universities, graduate schools, vocational institutions, or high schools worldwide who are interested in design (including working students)
　Students from non-design disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
Categories: Graphic, product, service, fashion, architecture, urban planning, social issues et etc.
