NewsIP Symposium held by the Center for Designed Futures of Kyushu University2020.1.16

The Kyushu University Graduate School of Design’s Center for Designed Futures will be inviting Professor Jens Hemmingsen Schovsbo (University of Copenhagen) and Associate Professor Stina Teilmann-Lock (Copenhagen Business School) from Denmark and will be holding a symposium at Waseda University on January 25th, 2020 (Sat).

Professor Schovsbo will talk about “Design Protection in the Nordic countries: Welcome to the smörgåsbord” and Associate Professor Teilmann-Lock will talk about “History and current status of design in Scandinavia”. We will clarify the current state of Scandinavian design by having them speak about Scandinavian design protection legislation, which is rarely introduced in Japan, and the position of Scandinavian design from the past to the present.
